MCA (Bolton) - Mortgage Consultants and Advisors to the Financial Services Industry

MCA was formed in 1994 by the current proprietor, Roy Wadsworth. Having had over 30 years experience with one of the biggest high street mortgage lenders, he was able to see changes in the expanding mortgage market.

Over this period CCET:

  • advised on the purchase of all new equipment
  • specified and developed an office network
  • designed and produced the company website
  • offered ongoing training and support

The Learning Resources Development Group

The LRDG works extensively with librarians, educational and information technologists in universities, colleges of further and higher education. Its aim is to improve the effectiveness of learning resources by the exchange of ideas on provision, planning and management patterns, to provide a stimulating learning environment and to work to high but cost-effective standards.

CCET was contracted to administer their programme of annual conferences and training courses.

Ravenhead Renaissance

Ravenhead Renaissance LogoThis is a public/private sector partnership currently managing and administering a £22 million government single regeneration budget in the Southern Corridor and Newton-le-Willows areas of St Helens. Ravenhead was one of the CCET's regular clients and is used by them as a consultant on the following matters:

  • the purchase of all new equipment
  • installation of a network
  • the design and development of a database which will work over a five year period, monitoring the distribution and use of all funding
  • ongoing training and support

The Planning Exchange

The Planning Exchange LogoBased in Glasgow, with an office in Manchester, and clients throughout the UK, The Planning Exchange is involved in national urban redevelopment programmes involving civil engineering, social engineering and extensive re-landscaping. CCET established a relationship with The Planning Exchange in 1988 and over a period of seven years was involved in a wide range of activities. These include:

  • the design and DTP of their national newsletters - UDIS and LEDIS
  • a complete IT audit of their head office in Glasgow
  • re-equipping of both Manchester offices

TACADE (The Advisory Council on Alcohol & Drug Education)

TACADE was founded in 1968 and has consistently grown and developed since that time, to become the leading non-governmental agency in the field of drug education and prevention. They produce a wide range of resource materials for use by professionals, parents, the community and young people. Predominantly, their target is to provide materials that professionals can use with young people of all ages. The Resources Centre at Salford is staffed by TACADE's Information and Publicity Officer, and is open during office hours for information and support for all professionals dealing with young people.

TACADE was one of the Centre's regular clients being used by them as a consultants on the following issues:

  • the purchase of all new equipment
  • the installation of an office network
  • the design and development of a customer database which is used extensively for marketing their wide range of products training
  • training of all staff in Microsoft Office products
